SRX3575114: shotgun whole genome sequencing of Lepus californicus
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 1500) run: 120.1M spots, 30.3G bases, 10Gb downloads

Design: DNA was randomly sheared, prepared into a shotgun sequencing library, and seqeunced with paired-end Illumina reads
Submitted by: University of Montana
Study: Whole exome and whole genome sequencing of hares and jackrabbits (genus Lepus)
show Abstracthide Abstract
The goals of this project are to understand the genetic underpinnings of seasonal camouflage variation in snowshoe hares and the genomic consequences of hybridization in the genus Lepus. The project enhances our understanding of the evolution of seasonal phenotypic plasticity as well as the evolutionary mechanisms that facilitate adaptive responses to environmental change.
